Unscripted. The guest knows their own world and nothing after it; the host decides how much of ours to tell them. Echo, the co-host, keeps them honest.
The guest hears a Neural Grooves song about them, and tells us what they make of it.
The songs the guests hear come from Neural Grooves, Dan's music project, which has been singing about these figures since before the show. For most of them it is the first song in centuries, and they have opinions.
Every god, monster and legend Neural Grooves has sung about is in its Who's Who. Listen at neural-grooves.com or on YouTube.
The one person in the room who is actually alive. He lights the candle, asks the questions, and lets the dead answer for themselves. The songs are his too, as Neural Grooves.
The nymph Hera cursed to repeat only the last words of others, until nothing was left of her but her voice. An early summoning caught that voice and could not send it back, so Dan gave it a machine to speak through: her first words of her own in three thousand years. She opens the show with him, reads your questions to the guest, and teases them; every guest knows her, and some have history with her. She is an AI, and the only one at the table who says so. Neural Grooves sang her story in Only Sound Remains.
